Silver-Bar Studios and Gallery
Silver-Bar Studios and Gallery is Belen’s newest Contemporary Art Space located at 106 Becker Avenue, in Belen’s historic Arts District. Resident Artist Katyraven Hernandez Dorsey exhibits her paintings and photography as well as exhibiting invitational visiting artists including Eugenia Vargas-Pereira, Jamie Marie Rose, Daniel O. Montano, Mary Manusos, Kim Thurman and many more to come.
Tus ojos cuentan la historia/ Your Eyes Tell the Story, is a series of photographic portraits of women clad in diverse styles of masks, bursting into spaces of conflict that are usually chaotic and reserved for men. This project is soft research, an inquiry into the masked females, particularly the way that Chilean feminists appropriated it as their insignia of personal creative expression and self-defense.
Eugenia Vargas-Pereira, born in Chillán, Chile, is a multi-disciplinary artist known for her photography, time-based installations, and performances. Based in Tucson Arizona and Santiago, Chile.
Jamie Marie Rose’s exhibition Chimera with works that are part of a series for the Urban Enhancement Trust Fund Residency through the city of Albuquerque.
Daniel Montaño’s Wo/Man Of The House is a photographic exhibition that was inspired by and photographed in Wo/Manhouse 2022, in Belen, NM.
The Gallery at Silver Bar Studios featured the works of Katyraven Hernandez Dorsey in its inaugural exhibition in partnership with Though The Flower, Jaramillo Vineyards and Chavez Brothers Vineyard.
Silver Bar Studios hosted it’s first event in support of Becker Avenue’s Inaugural Music Walk on August 28, 2021.
